Working with Indigenous & Local Knowledge in Malawi

Appreciating the value of indigenous and local knowledge, in 2022, Malawi engaged over 130 knowledge holders in their national ecosystem assessment. Indigenous and local knowledge holders have been widely consulted and engaged in the scoping stage of Malawi’s assessment process.
This documentary highlights the connection between culture and biodiversity in one of the visited sites, the Khulubvi Mbona sacred shrine in Nsanje District.
