This scoping report will cover the state and trends of biodiversity and ecosystem services (BES) across the country, as well as the factors and threats that affect BES and the impact on human security, such as economic, food, health, environment, community, individual, and politics, as well as the responses to threats to BES.
Although the assessment will highlight marine ecosystems, the assessment data will be based, in line with IPBES guidelines on the production of assessments, on existing data—both statistical and spatial—in electronic databases and reports from government agencies, scientific literature, and other published information, including data from fieldwork.
The findings of the assessment will be disseminated to the wider public and support policy uptake.
