Description

US Forest Service is seeking a permanent research ecologist with strong statistical and spatial modeling skills to develop a research program in the Southern Rockies / Southwestern United States. Research may focus on species, populations, communities and/or ecosystem level questions, focusing on the following topics: spatial ecology, development and analysis of broad-scale monitoring programs, or assessment of how forest restoration treatments affect species, populations or communities. Applicants should have interest in interacting with a dispersed group of scientists throughout the Rocky Mountains and with the management branch of the Forest Service to co-produce knowledge that helps them in their decision making processes.
