The role of the Senior Regional Video Producer is to utilize filmmaking and editing experience to advance 350.org’s communications’ objectives and lead on regional and global content production projects. The ideal candidate will be an experienced producer, filmmaker, and editor with secure and swift editing skills across a range of genres. The Senior Regional Video Producer supports the Associate Director, Multimedia and Design in pre-production, production, and post-production either directly or through a network of practitioners and works with the regional teams of the United States, Canada and Latin America to produce high quality video content to further campaigns and regional goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Satisfying the role described above will require the communication specialist to perform the following responsibilities:
- Produce effective videos to serve 350.org’s campaign priorities
- Assist regional and project teams to produce videos to serve regional and project priorities in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
- Shoot and edit video for North America & Latin America based video projects
- Coordinate contracted videographers, editors and post-production artists
- Lead coordination of internal staff and contractors doing work related to video and multimedia, as necessary
- Craft proposals around video strategy and video agreements (MOUs) for partner organizations on joint projects.
- Cultivate partnerships with external content creators
- Maintain the organisation’s multimedia archive with fellow producers and the Associate Director, Multimedia & Design.
- Train non-digital organizers and staff on video strategy, tools, and tactics.
- Track impact metrics and analyze and share lessons learned during debrief and reflection periods for campaigns and projects.
- Work with the Associate Director, Multimedia & Design to develop, document, and implement internal workflow processes for video production at 350.org
- Distribute video footage to partner and media organizations as requested
- Support creation of video distribution and social plans for video distribution to reach wide audiences
