Job opportunity
Description

Given that China is the largest GHG emitter in the world and the country is committed to meeting carbon peak by the year 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, TNC is dedicated to tackling climate change with a comprehensive NCS strategy. The science tells us that NCS can help us achieve nearly 40% of the greenhouse gas mitigation we need by 2030. However, these activities are woefully underfunded, and we will not achieve this NCS potential without rapidly closing the financing gap for NCS.  As a member of the Climate Change & Energy team, the advisor will contribute to developing and implementing finance strategy to help mobilize funds for NCS projects in China. The position holder will work closely with government agencies, private sector actors, and civil society organizations to identify and leverage funding opportunities for NCS. The Advisor will also provide technical support to identified key stakeholders in accessing financing pathways and assist in the development of innovative financing mechanisms to unlock new sources of funding.Given that China is the largest GHG emitter in the world and the country is committed to meeting carbon peak by the year 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, TNC is dedicated to tackling climate change with a comprehensive NCS strategy. The science tells us that NCS can help us achieve nearly 40% of the greenhouse gas mitigation we need by 2030.
