The R2A Strategy Coordinator works with the Regenerative Ranching & Agriculture strategy and the multi-country Ecosystem-based Adaptation for Regenerative Agriculture (EbA-R2A) program in South America to provide research, project management, communications and administrative support to advance the Latin America Region (LAR) regional strategy. This strategy is situated within the Global Provide Food and Water Sustainability strategy.

The R2A Strategy Coordinator may manage conservation data, participate in conservation planning, scientific analysis or information synthesis, develop project proposals, plan training activities, manage strategic communications for internal and external audiences, respond to donor inquiries and maintain project records. May include collecting, assembling and analyzing various types of data, in the field or through document surveys, producing fundraising proposals and communications materials and assisting in the production of donor reports. May include a combination of fieldwork (monitoring, field training) or be based entirely in an office setting, compiling information collected by others.

• Supervises no staff, but may oversee and direct work of office volunteers or interns.
• Coordinates multiple tasks or projects in a timely manner and with attention to detail.
• Preparation of donor reports and to assist with monitoring and evaluation of projects.
• Coordinates with the EbA-R2A program and the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team to ensure consistency within the muti-country project and the R2A strategy.
• Provides critical project support for implementation plans to additional LAR countries outside the target countries of the EbA-R2A program (Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Brazil, Chile).
• Provides technical input on the implementation of the R2A strategy, including planning at regional and country levels
• Researches and prepares technical materials for R2A Strategy Lead, including proposals, reports and communications documents
• Provides agricultural (ranching and farming) advice and expertise to project development
• Supports the planning for regional/country workshops with the R2A strategy and EbA-R2A program.
• May manage operational tasks such as contract requests, amendments, payments and external vendor management.
• Makes day to day decision as delegated by the supervisor.
• May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances.
