Tasks:

• Review and refine the existing operational framework and guidelines for EFT, and in consultation with relevant federal and state agencies to ascertain that:
  • appropriate biological and ecological criteria are applied for the fiscal transfer; and
  • The operational mechanism is further improved to encourage the recipient States to earmark EFT allocation for conservation purposes with consideration of gender aspect;
• Conduct policy, legal and institutional review on the sustainability of EFT in the long run, identify the possible pathways for establishing a legally entrenched EFT scheme in the long term.

Period of assignment:

60 working days (10 June 2024 until 31 March 2025)
