Forest Concession Management Senior Manager (FCMSM) will be in charge in developing and implementing conservation strategies, particularly conservation in natural production forests. FCMSM will be playing key roles in identifying all the resources, data and budget needed for the pre-project development and project implementation, and coordinate relevant staff from Indonesia Program, Asia Pacific, and Global Team. FCMSM will facilitate all processes of partnership agreement with all potential partners in developing business plans, managing natural forest and lead the implementation of sustainable natural forest management and conservation business in a close collaboration with public and private partners. FCMSM will also coordinate training and analyses to best implement organizational measures of success, identify and resolve technical issues and to widely communicate solutions, innovative scientific methods, analysis, tools and frameworks to address the natural system needs, and builds strategic, scientific, and technical capacity in the field.  FCMSM will also coordinate our engagement with local community, support local conservation efforts, negotiate complex and innovative solutions with government agencies and landowners to conserve and protect natural ecosystems. 

 

• Geographic/programmatic size and scope is that of a large, complex business unit, multiple small to mid-sized business units, division/regional or a large program area spanning parts of multiple states/divisions.                             
• Full responsible for leading or co-leading a whole system program.                             
• Recruits, retains and manages high quality and effective multi-disciplinary staff with responsibility for support and assisting project implementation.
• Broad management and leadership responsibility for 5+ staff members, both internal and external to the organization.
• Develops short and long-term strategies and achieves strategic goals and objectives.
• May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances.
• Makes independent strategic decisions frequently based on analysis, ambiguous information, experience and judgment.
• May require frequent travel domestically and/or internationally and evening and weekend hours.
• YKAN may, from time to time, assign the Employee to another location(s) in accordance with the requirements of the Employee’s job description and/or YKAN’s operational needs. The Employee agrees to work in such other work location(s) in Indonesia.
