Description

The Director of Marketing, International Activation and Integration acts as a liaison between the central, global marketing and communications team (GMAC) and teams in international regions and countries. The role collaborates closely with various members of the GMAC team, such as the Director, Global Brand Strategy and Activation. They will build strong, effective relationships with marcomms colleagues around the world, to collaborate on initiatives and campaigns that build awareness and appreciation of the TNC brand outside of the United States. Work may also support key philanthropy, engagement and policy-driven opportunities within the region.

They will represent international markets in the development of global campaigns, offering expertise and guidance on how initiatives would work in different languages and cultures; and then work with the in-country teams to execute locally. Through close relationships with the international teams, they will also identify country or regional level initiatives and stories that have the potential for global amplification.

The regional marketing and communications leads will have dotted lines reporting to the Director of Marketing, International Outreach Activation, and the success of the role will depend upon their appreciation of the relationship between GMAC and the markets, and their ability to influence outcomes in both directions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

  • Owns the relationships between GMAC and key regions and markets develop MOUs and ways of working between teams.
  • In collaboration with local experts, identifies the primary audiences in target markets, and the objectives that can be supported by GMAC.
  • In partnerships with local operating units, develops a strategic overarching plan for building the TNC brand in target markets.
  • Identifies and support the activation of opportunities to build the TNC brand around the world in support of conservation objectives.
  • Counsels marketing colleagues and leadership through the development of campaigns and initiatives, to maximize their international potential.
  • Represents GMAC with regional MDs and their leadership teams, to influence the adoption of global campaigns and initiatives.
  • Acts as two-way conduit between the field and central marketing teams to share content, activate campaigns and encourage participation.
  • Designs and tracks KPIs to measure the success of the work.
