We are seeking a Creative Studio Project Manager to join our Innovation & Growth division.  The Innovation and Growth division at the National Wildlife Federation is building an in-house creative studio to help advance our mission, strengthen our brand, and amplify the work of our internal mission partners across all divisions. We strive to provide creative deliverables that connect with our members, supporters, and business partners in a genuine way.

As our creative studio project manager, you will manage various creative projects from start to finish. You are well-organized, people-oriented, and a great communicator, working proactively to guide the creative team toward project completion. You will work with the creative team to forecast/estimate design hours, build and manage project schedules, and ensure the creative team receives project documents and content and project owners review, provide feedback, and approve the design on time throughout the process.

This position can be based our headquarters in Reston, VA, or remote. Due to COVID-19, all employees are currently working remotely until the Federation makes a return to work decision, after which we may request one to three on-site visits annually.

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Liaising with internal project owners to gather information, understand creative requests, clarify project goals, and schedule/host kickoff meetings as needed
  • Creating and implementing project schedules, goals, and managing expectations between the project owner and the creative studio to ensure positive and productive collaboration, smooth and consistent project workflow, and on-time delivery
  • Working with Creative Director to prioritize projects, plan studio project calendar, assign creative talent, allocate resources, and manage and monitor utilization of internal creative team and external partners
  • Overseeing and managing current project management system and file organization and proactively evaluating, recommending, and implementing approaches to improve studio workflow and processes
  • Researching vendors and coordinating with the internal print shop and external production partners on cost estimates, production schedules, and working with the creative team to ensure high-quality design execution and on-time delivery
  • Tracking projects by department/division and producing annual project reports for internal reference
