Description

The Assistant will provide meeting needs, such as scheduling meetings on Microsoft Outlook; managing virtual meetings including technical troubleshooting; taking meeting notes; and task tracking as needed. The Assistant will manage contract processes, keeping track of deadlines, and ensuring contractors are paid. The Assistant will help the team lead(s) with project management, including setting up new business processes, directly managing processes as needed, and providing training to team members. The Assistant will work closely with the team lead(s) and have a deep understanding of projects; will serve as a thought partner for the team lead(s) in how best to organize the team(s) and meet team goals, and will be committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Conservation Programs Assistant must be able to work independently, communicate effectively, be able to work on multiple tasks and have excellent organizational skills. The Conservation Programs Assistant’s work is primarily based in an office setting with the possibility of field site visits.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Supervises no staff but may oversee and direct work of office volunteers or interns, as well as manage workflows of teams.
  • Coordinates multiple tasks or projects in a timely manner and with attention to detail.
  • Makes day to day decision as delegated by the supervisor.
