This position will be responsible for the development and execution of communication activities of EDF in Indonesia. This role will use specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to implement, maintain and manage communications efforts. The Specialist will report to the Director of Operations and External Affairs, Indonesia and is based in Jakarta.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the program team to prepare communications materials.
• Develop and deliver new communications channels and engagement interactions where required to ensure successful delivery of program messages to the target audiences.
• Maintain program communications in blogs, vlogs, social media and digital content.
• Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences.
• Assist in communication of strategies or messages from leadership.
• Engage in proactive earned media campaigns, build relationships with key reporters and news outlets, and and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.
• Support requests from Brand Marketing for outputs such as video, photos and other storytelling opportunities as requests arise.
• Attend periodic meetings outside of normal work hours in order to liase with colleagues in the U.S. and other time zones, and additionally attend pre-recorded asynchronous meetings.
• Willingness to conduct on-site field visits as needed.
