The Climate and Urban Partnerships Lead will maintain the Conservancy’s partnership with community organizations committed to climate change adaptation and mitigation, primarily through the Connecting Canopies initiative. They will help coordinate scientific analyses, tools and frameworks to address climate adaptation and mitigation needs, engage local community support for local conservation efforts, and negotiate complex and innovative solutions with government agencies and private entities
We are looking for a candidate who can:
- Build and maintain trust with partner organizations; uphold collaborative commitment to community vision and needs
- Effectively collaborate with many leadership styles and organizations, from small, grassroots environmental groups, state agencies, to the state’s leading academics, corporations, foundations and philanthropists.
- Demonstrate a commitment and ability to understand and apply knowledge of systemic inequities and equitable partnership.
- Manage internal administrative needs and requirements (manage documentation for public and private grants and gifts, budget management, metrics and reporting)
- Manage and administer grants, including philanthropic support and public funds
- Help the collective manage budget and track expenses to ensure appropriate reporting to foundations, public agencies, etc.
- Collaborate on budget decisions and tracking match and revenue available for partners/deliverables
- Demonstrate an ability to apply a systems thinking approach and in particular community led systemic change.
