The Dominican Republic launched its NEA in 2021. The assessment focuses on terrestrial, coastal, and marine ecosystems. Led by the Consorcio Ambiental Dominicano (working in close coordination with the country’s Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources), the Dominican Republic assessment project team has been working closely with local communities.
