The FAO Biodiversity Knowledge Hub will support Parties and stakeholders to access and use existing knowledge tools, guidance and other resources on biodiversity developed under FAO, including to support the implementation of the Framework and building on the experience of the agrifood sectors in the sustainable use, conservation and restoration of biodiversity.
In this context, this webinar aims to:
- launch the FAO Biodiversity Knowledge Hub as an initiative to meet the scientific and technical needs of countries by facilitating their access and use of existing FAO knowledge and resources on biodiversity in the agrifood sectors that can support the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework;
- and raise awareness of the importance of enhancing synergies and cooperation among relevant multilateral environmental agreements and intergovernmental organizations, such as FAO, to support the national implementation of the Framework.
This webinar will be a public online event with interpretation in the six official UN languages, targeting both FAO Members and CBD Parties, as well as an external audience of policymakers and actors across the environmental and agrifood sectors.
