The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Colombia seeks to contribute to the implementation of the agreements of the multilateral environmental conventions to avoid transgressing planetary limits, with a differential focus on those most vulnerable and excluded territories and populations. The UNDP supports the fight to confront the climate crisis and the loss of biodiversity with actions in various territories of the country and does so in conjunction with different alliances. Climate Promise , which begins its second launch of a call with funding from the United Kingdom Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), to strengthen and accelerate the implementation of Colombia’s commitments on climate change and biodiversity, inviting the participation of indigenous peoples, Afro-Colombian and peasant communities.

The Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network (BESNet), which is funded by the German government’s international climate initiative, seeks to implement the recommendations of the National Assessment published by Colombia in 2021.
We invite the organizations and initiatives of Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendants and peasants to present collective and community proposals aimed at strengthening governance, the inclusion of women and youth, to advance actions that contribute to the fulfillment and monitoring of the goals of the agreements. multilaterals in biodiversity and climate change, such as Nationally Determined Contributions, NDCs, from the sectors of: agriculture, forestry, land use change and the implementation of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), such as: Avoided Forest Conversion (CEB), Ecosystem Restoration (RE), Sustainable Use of Natural Resources (UsRN), Conservation of Natural Resources (CRN) and Environmental Governance (GA).
