Join us online (Registration Link) September 12th from 13h00 to 14h30 (Central European Time) for an open session to learn and exchange on “Planning for Strategic Action to Advance Green and Sustainable Chemistry”.
The event is the latest in UNEP’s work to promote the green and sustainable chemistry topic worldwide and turn the recommendations of the Green and Sustainable Chemistry: Framework Manual into action At the heart of the Manual are the Ten Objectives and Guiding Considerations for Green and Sustainable Chemistry (infographic here). The Objectives are meant to guide and inspire stakeholders to shift chemistry innovations and actions towards sustainability, aiming to unveil the full potential of chemistry such that it is compatible with, and supports the implementation of the 2030 sustainable development agenda.
In the final chapter of the Framework Manual, a call is made for stakeholders to develop roadmaps and take strategic action to advance the Objectives. Building upon this call, UNEP is developing guidance to support stakeholders in executing planning processes which lead to successful strategic actions. Attendees will hear from panelists with experience carrying out these processes as they share key factors of success and lessons learned.
The audience will be encouraged to exchange with the panelists and share their own insights. Following the event, those who register will have the opportunity to provide further input ensure that the UNEP guidance is practical and based in the experiences of stakeholders. We hope to see you there!
