The biggest biodiversity festival in Singapore is back! The 2025 Festival of Biodiversity (FoB) will take place at the National Library on 31 May and 1 June, with an even more exciting and informative experience.
Building on the success of 2024’s FoB, which welcomed over 16,000 visitors, NParks, together with other biodiversity-related interest groups and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) is committed to making this year’s festival bigger and better. Expect more community involvement, engaging activities for all ages, and new collaborations with the National Library Board to curate special collections on nature and biodiversity.
This year’s International Day for Biodiversity (IDB), which is observed on 22 May 2025 each year, follows the theme “Harmony with nature and sustainable development“.
It aims to raise public awareness of biodiversity’s vital role in sustaining all life on earth and highlights the urgent need to halt and reverse biodiversity loss. These efforts are crucial for achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Goals and Targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF), aligning closely with FoB’s mission to promote knowledge of Singapore’s biodiversity and foster a society where people and nature coexist in harmony.
