On 23 May 2023 (10:00-11:00 CET), the Green Finance Platform of the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) is hosting a webinar on “Standardization and Disclosure: Trends and opportunities for the finance sector”.
Investor demand for more information beyond financial data has advanced the development of numerous frameworks for disclosing environmental, social and governance (ESG) and sustainability information. The Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations, CDP Framework and SASB standards have all been instrumental in disclosure practices in recent years.
This webinar will gather leading accounting and sustainability disclosure standard-setting bodies and international organizations to discuss ESG accounting and disclosure trends and their implications for the finance sector. Discussion questions include:
- What are the trends in accounting and disclosure standards on ESG and sustainability including and beyond emissions?
- How can financial institutions take leadership in ESG-integrated decision making in their practices and portfolios?
- What policies are available or needed to enable adoption and advancement of sustainability and ESG standards and disclosures for the financial sector?
