On 28 February (12h00-13h30 EAT), join the Global Opportunities for Sustainable Development Goals (GO4SDGs) for the Side Event at 8th Session of the African Regional Forum for Sustainable Development: From Commitments to Action towards Stockholm+50: Partnerships for the African Green Stimulus Programme.
This side event will take place as part of the 8th Session of the African Regional Forum for Sustainable Development. It will contribute to African preparation and roadmap toward the International Meeting “Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity”, to commemorate the 1972 UN Conference on the Environment which for the first time, brought environment into center stage for human well-being and development.
During the event recognized panelist will spotlight partnership building around two pillars of the African Green Stimulus Programme, climate action and sustainable food systems, focusing on promoting sustainable circularity in Africa’s MSMEs and SMEs. These discussions will contribute to the Stockholm+50 stakeholder deliberations under Leadership Dialogue 2: Achieving a sustainable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event is organized by Global Opportunities for Sustainable Development Goals (GO4SDGs), the UN Economic Commission for Africa, and the African Development Bank.
