The CGIAR Policy Seminar Series on Strengthening Food Systems Resilience continues with its seventh installment, focusing on “Agronomy & Policy Solutions for Effective Implementation of the African Fertilizer and Soil Health Action Plan.” Scheduled for September 10, 2024, this event will delve into the critical outcomes of the African Fertilizer and Soil Health (AFSH) Summit held in May 2024. The seminar will bring together experts from research, policy, NGOs, and the private sector to discuss how to advance soil health and agricultural productivity across sub-Saharan Africa.
Participants will explore agronomic solutions and policy frameworks that support the resilience of stakeholders in the agricultural sector. The seminar will feature insights from the CGIAR’s research initiatives on Excellence in Agronomy and National Policies and Strategies, highlighting strategies for sustainable fertilizer management and improved soil health.
