The 7th National IPBES Forum will take place on 5 April 2019 at the Hotel Collegium Leoninum in Bonn.
The national forums, organized by the German IPBES coordination office on behalf of BMU and BMBF, provide information about national and international activities related to the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).
In particular, the 7th National IPBES Forum will provide space for discussions on the Global Assessment on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (Working Element 2c) and its summary for policymakers.
The discussions will be accompanied by a poster exhibition, where invited experts will present a selection of follow-up activities already developing from completed IPBES assessments. In dialogue with the participating experts, these activities should be discussed. In addition, further IPBES-relevant national activities are presented.
The one-day National IPBES Forum will conclude with a look at the process of external evaluation of IPBES, as well as reflection on the design of the framework of the future IPBES work program.
