BIOFIN (Biodiversity Finance Initiative) supports countries in mobilizing resources to implement national biodiversity policies. Phase I focused on developing the BIOFIN Workbook, a methodological framework for biodiversity finance, while Phase II emphasizes raising awareness on finance solutions and supporting their implementation.
The intern will be an integral member of the BIOFIN global team, assisting in operational, management, and communication activities.
Job responsibilities
- Support human resources tasks, including onboarding new team members, updating HR lists and organigrams, and coordinating access rights.
- Assist with travel and event logistics, including preparing invitation and financial authorization letters, coordinating approvals, managing mailing lists, and estimating event/travel costs.
- Support procurement activities, including managing annual subscriptions and asset management.
- Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
- Assist in updating organizational policies and communicating them to the team.
- Support other operational and administrative tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
Education:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application:
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program (Master’s or higher).
- Be in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Have recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (internship must begin within one year of graduation).
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program where the internship is a requirement.
Experience:
- Previous work experience in a national or international entity is an asset.
- Experience in management, operations, or event organization is an asset.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and spreadsheets is beneficial.
