The Belmont Forum is seeking a dynamic and passionate Program Lead to spearhead our Advancing Leadership Program, designed to empower changemakers working in or engaging with transdisciplinary (TD) research on global environmental change.

About the Advancing Leadership Program
The Advancing Leadership Program aims to train and support the next generation of global transdisciplinary science leaders across disciplines, sectors, societies, cultures, and nations. The goal is to create a critical mass of boundary-spanning leaders equipped with diverse perspectives and knowledge to tackle the complex challenges of global environmental and societal change.
Responsibilities
The Program Lead will manage the strategic vision, implementation, and ongoing management of the Advancing Leadership Program, including the development of annual and long-term strategic plans. They will also contribute to the Belmont Forum’s broader strategic initiatives and governance processes.
Key Qualifications
- Graduate degree (Masters, PhD, or equivalent) in natural, physical, or social sciences relevant to global environmental change.
- Experience in program development, administration, and management.
- Experience in community/networks development and management.
- Strong public speaking skills and event management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience in multinational scientific organizations and/or research environments.
- Strong proficiency in communicating science to non-academic audiences, especially at the science-policy and science-society interfaces.
- Experience in fundraising and grant writing.
