Description

The Operations Program Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of operations activities in support of the Global Policy, Institutions & Conservation Finance (GPIF) program and the Oceans Governance Team. This position will report to the Global Policy, Institutions & Conservation Finance (GPIF) Program Manager and will work closely with the Fisheries Policy Advisor. The position is based in TNC’s Worldwide Office, in Arlington, VA.

The Operations Program Coordinator will be responsible for performing multiple administrative functions related to the GPIF program and the Oceans Governance Team such as scheduling meetings and logistics coordination, travel arrangements, managing schedules and calendars, preparing and reviewing timesheets, recruiting, preparing expense reports, and processing invoices for the GPIF Program and the Oceans Governance Team. They may support preparations for special events and/or meetings, purchasing, central filing, facility management, telecommunications, and/or reception.  Working closely with Regional and Department’s staff, the Coordinator will use available systems and resources to maintain, track, and crosscheck internal available public funding data, to produce and review reports. They will update the GPIF and Oceans Governance Team contract and payments database.  They will coordinate activities with multiple variables, set realistic deadlines and manage the timeline. The Coordinator may handle inquiries about business unit activities and assist in the development of program materials and correspondence. They will work cooperatively with Conservancy staff, providing information necessary to make decisions and solve problems.

The Coordinator must have strong administrative proficiency, organization and attention to detail. They will have frequent interaction with department staff, senior leaders, external partners and vendors, as well as staff in other TNC offices.
