Description

An energetic, dynamic, initiative person with the ability to manage complex projects and lead the TFA jurisdictional strategy in Brazil, promoting dialogue and exchange around jurisdictional initiatives supported by TFA in Latin America and with other jurisdictional initiatives at a global levelWe hope that you will be able to facilitate interactions within TNC and other key actors, TFA LATAM and global teams structuring institutional arrangements that promote the alignment and channelling of global and local private actions. . We hope that you will be able to interact with multidisciplinary teams, listen to experience, expectations and technical approaches, and that you will be able to support teams in translating these approaches and projects into leading the systemic approach and strategic view that collaborates to map and propose North-South connections fostering a hub of projects or methodologies that have the same goals to the Amazon sustainable development, so that we can have an even greater impact on conservation in Brazil.

Responsibilities & Scope:

  • Follow our Code of Conduct and demonstrate consistently our Values.
  • Leading the TFA jurisdictional strategy in Brazil and promoting regional dialogues and exchanges around jurisdictional initiatives supported by TFA in Latin America and with other jurisdictional initiatives at a global level.
  • Engagement, planning and convening of meetings, coordinating strategic studies and communication workflows as representative for TFA around jurisdictional initiatives.
  • Mapping strategic opportunities, proposing and structuring projects and partnerships that mobilize resources and investment opportunities that support and add value to the jurisdictional action plans from existing Platforms (e.g., Territórios Sustentáveis, Parceiros Pela Amazonia, Amazon Challenge, Amazon Origin Sustainable Cocoa, among others).
  • Facilitate interactions within TNC and other key actors, TFA LATAM and Global teams, 1T.org  and other relevant WEF’s Center for Nature and Climate  programs and  strategies related to the Private Sector engagement,  innovative solutions for efficient networks to jurisdictional performance in Pará, Mato Grosso and other key jurisdictions in the region.
  • Structuring institutional arrangements that promote the alignment and channeling of global and local private actions (e.g., via Sustainable Territories) that are strategic for the acceleration of impact investments and solutions, including the development of new business models or methodologies capable of leveraging investments and socioeconomic development pipeline through the active involvement of indigenous peoples, quilombolas and traditional communities.
  • Supporting the network of actors in Pará in achieving the objectives and goals of the State Plan Amazonia Agora (PEAA), the Sustainable Territories Platform.
  • Coordinate Amazon Origin Sustainable Cocoa Initiative dialogues, stakeholders’ engagement and resource mobilization.
  • Support the TFA Regional Director on leveraging opportunities to build on restoration, incentives for forest conservation mechanisms and incentives and Bioeconomy agendas in the Latin America region.
  • Leading the systemic approach and strategic view that collaborates to map and propose North-South connections (such as CGF, IPDD, IFACC, Leaf, 1t.org, Governors Climate Task Force, among others) fostering a hub of projects or methodologies that have the same goals to the Amazon sustainable development.
  • Work closely with the TFA Brazil Coordinator in defining and implementing complementary and synergic actions for the purpose of TFA national agenda.
