The Communications Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing communication and media tactics as outlined in approved strategies and plans to drive and constructively contribute to TNC´s systemic approach to scale. They help TNC Argentina leadership strategies on the most suitable communications and media approaches. They actively identify target audiences and cultivates media contacts on a national level, developing and fostering relationships with internal and external partners. They facilitate on-going communication between all parts of the global and regional marketing division´s internal and external stakeholders and identifies communication and media needs and opportunities. He/she develops speeches, key messages and talking points, as needed. The incumbent will research, write and distribute a wide variety of communication materials including but not limited to op-eds, articles, press releases, web articles, and blog posts, as directed in program and regional marketing plans. The Communications Specialist employs a variety of communication tactics to communicate goals, objectives and our mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
- Helps strategize, coordinates and implements Communications projects aligned with the Program and regional goals.
- Serves as team lead on TNC Argentina’s communication and/or media initiatives.
- Consolidates, implements and manages TNC Argentina’s communications strategy in both digital and traditional media.
- Develops content provided by the conservation team to communicate internally and externally.
- Suggests and updates content for TNC Argentina’s website, both in Spanish and English.
- Responsibility and accountability for said projects.
- Coordinates TNC Argentina’s communications with regional and global initiatives strengthening the relationship.
- Resolves issues independently within program area.
- Optimizes digital content, campaigns, and initiatives on a regular basis to boost performance and reach for existing and new digital strategies.
- Works with vendors/other parties to execute projects/deliverables.
- Analyzes results, identifies opportunities, and provides recommendations for future content initiatives.
- Support Program’s fundraising processes with digital and communications content
- Manages communication campaigns.
- May work with vendors/other parties to execute projects/deliverables.
- Manages TNC Argentina’s social media networks for community relations together with the regional and/or global office.
