Position summary:

At the Rainforest Alliance we are looking for a collaborative and results-oriented Senior Associate in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning to maintain the monitoring and evaluation systems and tools defined under the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan (MEL) for the Sustainable Landscapes & Communities program in Colombia. S/he will be responsible for the design of the monitoring and evaluation system, collection, and analysis of data for projects’ indicators, as well as coordinating with staff to facilitate implementation of the project adaptive management, and ongoing learning. S/he will also provide information required for the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports required by donors and development of written “success stories” as appropriate

Responsibilities:

• Support the design and implementation of a measurement, reporting and verification system and monitor its implementation on the field;
• Provide quality control for the collection and analysis of projects indicators data;
• Support projects Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan (MEL) to track progress towards the outcomes. Support definition of theory of change to measure of indicators variation;
• Work closely with technical staff to coordinate the systematic and standardized collection, analysis, and interpretation of the projects performance results and geographic information from the projects;
• Facilitate workshops and other training activities with stakeholders, aiming to strengthen the data management skills, building capacity to manage the monitoring, reporting and verification system;
• Review current monitoring data collection protocols and work with project and regional teams to maintain and improve standardized or tailored data collection tools and guidelines;
• Input new data collected from the field and provide monthly monitoring and evaluation results via monthly updates and annual learning workshops;
• Coordinate with partners to produce maps and provide the information required for projects case studies;
• Support the production of implementation progress reports for donors according to the timelines required by the projects;
• Provide information for proposals and technical reports;
• Supervise the development and maintenance of a centralized data management system; and
• Other duties assigned.
