Description

The project coordinator will manage the collaboration between TNC and B-CW by being seconded into the Department of Nature Protection. The partnership includes a scientific-based spatial analysis that identifies and activates potentials in B-CW for climate adaptation and biodiversity measures, as well as the planning and implementation of demonstration projects that accelerate nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation in the district. As a core member of the EUG, the project coordinator will agilely and adaptively develop, coordinate, and manage activities related to the partnership to visible results and contribute to the overall EUG program development.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Coordinate between TNC and municipal partner (Department of Nature Protection of B-CW) as a member of both TNC and B-CW staff, including scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting facilitation, and preparation and distribution of minutes
  • Coordinate stormwater infiltration projects and neighborhood climate adaptation plans
  • Develop projects based on district climate adaptation plan and apply funding for project implementation
  • Project Management of demonstration projects with active community engagement process, including coordination with B-CW internal and external stakeholders
  • Supports contracting process for grants and service contracts with TNC and B-CW partners and consultants
  • Provide communications and marketing materials for internal and external audiences, including writing proposals, reports, memos, talking points, press releases, web contents and other communications products
  • Conduct spatial data analysis (GIS) to identify and map (i) potential areas for and (ii) benefits of greening strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with TNC colleagues, municipal stakeholders, public, nonprofit, academic, and research entities as well as private industry partners to facilitate best practices knowledge transfer
  • Supervision of staff (interns, students, or volunteers) on a project basis
  • Mainstreaming biodiversity and related ESS issues in local planning, administrative action and within the civil society
