Responsibilities and tasks
Financial Control
- Preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Preparing the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Preparing the annual accounts, including the audit file. You are also the contact person for the external auditor in this regard.
- Monitoring financial flows within the organisation and preparing liquidity forecasts.
- Drafting other management reports and analyses in this respect.
- Optimising and further improving financial processes.
- Providing solicited and unsolicited advice on various topics that may have a financial impact on the organisation.
- General ledger control and processing of memorandum entries.
Project Control
- Acts as a contact point and adviser to Project Managers during the planning (including preparing project budgets), operational, and reporting phases of projects.
- Generating timely, complete, and accurate information and financial project reporting in cooperation with project managers in agreement with reported project performance.
- Monitors financial flows within projects.
- Identifies proactively (potential) financial bottlenecks and risks within projects and takes appropriate action.
- Prepares timely, complete, and accurate project reporting to donors and, when applicable, prepares project-related audit files according to requirements and deadlines.
- Prepares, in cooperation with Project Managers, project budget forecasts.
- Assists and advises the Project Assistant in drafting standard contracts for consultants, partners, and subcontractors and their processing.
- Communicates and monitors required internal and external (grant-) regulations and conditions.
- Takes responsibility for project administration of projects in the financial system.
