Conservation International’s Conservation Business Solutions team delivers cutting-edge IT solutions to meet diverse business needs across the global organization. We are looking for a Business Analyst to work with internal stakeholders to identify and document business objectives and translate them into technical requirements. The Business Analyst will work with internal and external technical experts to identify and deliver technical solutions. When working as part of a larger product development project, the Business Analyst may take on additional responsibilities such as project manager, scrum master, or change management specialist. The Business Analyst will also support IT procurement initiatives including developing and managing Requests for Proposals and evaluating proposal responses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with CI staff across the world to bridge the gap between business needs and existing or new technology solutions.

  • Identify stakeholder groups and collect user needs and translate them into technical requirements, in the form of product roadmaps, user stories, and customer journey maps.
  • Advise staff on existing IT solution offerings and advise stakeholders on how they can be applied to meet their needs.
  • Work as part of a global IT team to develop robust technical solutions, including business process automation, data collection and visualization, web applications, and new product procurement.
  • Identify common business requirements across divisions and advocate for effective global solutions.
  • Manage small internal development products using an Agile framework.
  • Develop test plans and user acceptance test scripts for internal development projects.
  • Execute testing activities, including but not limited to a unit, QA, and regression testing.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management plans, including training and communications.
  • Coordinate with team members in IT and GCO to ensure that IT standards are applied to all solutions, including but not limited to application security and data privacy policies.

Support the procurement process for IT solutions, including but not limited to software and implementation services.

  • Develop and manage a standard process to request IT Solutions.
  • Develop tools and methodologies to help CI departments document needs.
  • Provide assistance to CI IT staff in requirements analysis in regional offices.
  • Support procurement activities, through the development of requests for proposal documents and evaluating proposal submissions to meet defined criteria.
