Description

This is an independent contractor role from January 2022 to September 2022 with a possibility to extend based on the development of the project and the role. This is a role with preference to be based in Argentina with a remote working relation with teams across the globe. May occasionally travel from time to time (domestic and international).

The person will be responsible for, developing, managing and implementing 350.org campaign project identified to support local communities work  in the fracking region called Vaca Muerta, in Argentina. This position will work in close partnership with the Regional Director and with the Argentinian Organizer Specialist for 350 Latin America.

Scope of Work and deliverables:

  • Overseen by the Regional Director and the Argentinian Organiser Specialist,  lead and support the development and facilitation of consultative spaces and processes with key strategic partners and allies that will help shape and build alignment on next big moments to unify and energise the climate movement around Vaca Muerta and fracking in Argentina.
  • Develop and write a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Lead the project-management of joint cross-regional moments, ensuring Communications, Campaigning and Organising, and Regional Teams, and external partners, are clear on their responsibilities, coordinate effectively together, and deliver on time and to budget.
  • Ensure good project management such as sign-off processes, risk management within 350 and with partners, communications flow and systems, developing and tracking project budgets, evaluation and learning.
  • Support the Regional Director with the project budgeting when necessary
  • Establish and keep contacts with local partners, dialoguing with representatives of local authorities, NGOs, scientific community, indigenous peoples, among other sectors of the Argentinian society.
  • Regularly write updates to all parties involved in the project
  • Regularly e-meet with all internal and external parties of the project
  • Report and escalate issues when necessary
  • Manage project performance with appropriate KPIs
  • Continuously follow up on the progress, risks, and opportunities of the project
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Make recommendations for project improvement
