The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity that works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.

We campaign for change, support farming innovation, serve healthy food in communities, champion and grow the organic market, and protect forests. We couldn’t do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.

About the opportunity

Are you someone who loves figuring out solutions? And then see your work make a real difference? As website officer, you will be part of our digital engagement team helping everyone explore the vital relationship between the soil, plants, animals and people.

Your role will be to ensure the Soil Association websites really answer the questions our audiences want solved Typical tasks (but not limited to) are:

• Performing simple web updates

• Supporting teams across the organisation with optimisation and iteration of existing web content

• Reviewing and publishing web changes

• Supporting SEO optimisation (e.g site crawls, image compression, redirects etc)

• Responding to data requests, usually via Google Analytics

• Support with delivering our digital training programme

• Creation of how to guides, including video guides

• Support on asset project, file migration from w drive

• Support on development projects
