Description

The Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships, will report to the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships. As an integral member of the Resource Development department, the Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships is part of the team that works to engage the private sector in Ocean Conservancy’s work. The position is responsible for supporting the stewardship of the existing corporate portfolio along with recruitment and acquisition of new partners.

The coordinator will participate in all phases of corporate partner/prospect development and relationship management such as arranging and attending meetings; preparing letters of inquiry, proposals, acknowledgements and reports; executing contracts and sending invoices; tracking deadlines to meet funder requirements; and maintaining accurate records. The coordinator will also conduct research as necessary. This position is based in Washington, DC

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains corporate partner summary and pipeline documents, stewardship plans, and various tracking reports and ensures timely submission of acknowledgements, proposals, reports, updates, invoices, etc.
  • Works with Ocean Conservancy’s attorneys to ensure timely review, processing and turnaround of partner contracts
  • Works closely with Resource Development and Communications teams as needed to ensure deadlines are met for deliverables to funders, such as website mentions, inclusion in email blasts and newsletters, etc.
  • Develops good working relationships with partners; responds to all partner requests quickly, thoughtfully and completely
  • Conducts research to qualify corporate prospects
  • Assists in writing and editing letters, emails, proposals and reports
  • Responds to requests for information from interested corporations
  • Enters all funder communication and deliverables into Raiser’s Edge and various tracking documents
  • Assists in preparation of revenue forecasts and budget development and tracking
  • Maintains a disciplined and effective project management approach to all aspects of work
  • Takes detailed notes and captures next steps on prospect and partner meetings/calls
  • Helps schedule prospect and partner meetings and calls
  • Assists with preparation of itineraries and with travel arrangements
