The Finance Analyst provides a variety of routine and non-routine finance and accounting-related tasks for Brazil business unit. Duties may include invoice payments, recording payments in Concur system, preparation and processing accounting forms such as journal entries, accounting adjustments, etc. Verifying the accuracy and coding/classification of journal entry transactions, maintenance of A/P, general ledger and vendor payments, accounting reconciliation and similar tasks.
Examples of tasks may include analysis of payment requests for completeness according to internal BU rules, consultation with tax specialists prior to process payments, launching payments in the banking (offline system and bank portal), uploading payment processes to the accounting vendor portal, checking the bank balance weekly, monitoring cash flow, checking refunds to employees, training and guidance to staff on A/P processes and onboarding to new employees on payment processes etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Ensures TNC policies and procedures are met.
- Ensures proper overall A/P routine : analysis of payment processes, screening and classification of payment types for proper referral to tax review, inclusion in the Concur system with appropriate accounting classification and cost center allocation, bank routine processing and staff guidance on A/P processes.
