Description

The primary focus of the role (75-80%) is responding promptly and empathetically to employee concerns and driving appropriate resolution through recommendations and follow-through including: workplace conduct investigations, complex compliance situations, and consultations on employment-related issues. The Employee Relations Manager will also help manage employment compliance programs related to TNC’s status as a US Federal Contractor.  This position will lead in identifying risk, developing mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, resolving issues in collaboration with cross functional and/or matrix teams.

Coordinate, track and maintain a case management process of ADA employee requests for accommodations.  May support the HR Business Partner to provide guidance to management on how to address the request(s), and track resolution of the request(s).

This is a remote position that will be required to work the pacific time zone and reports to the Director of Employee Relations and Engagement. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Receive and investigate concerns related to hiring and employment practices, workplace conduct (in partnership with Ethics & Compliance), and equity/compliance matters. Creates an investigation plan, provides parties with information about the process, gathers evidence, conducts interviews, and drafts written findings and reports. Makes recommendations for appropriate remedies.
  • Track reports of concerns and produces internal and external reports on status of reports and trends in reporting.
  • Provide guidance to HR teams, managers and employees, where applicable, on a wide range of issues including employee counseling, performance management, and policy interpretation to create and sustain positive employee relations programs and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver employee relations training presentations to management and other HR colleagues.
  • Partner with colleagues and key stakeholders to engage in continuous improvement in policies, procedures, communication vehicles and practices.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and practices in employee relations.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues within the employee relations process(es)/best practice(s) and make recommendations to appropriately improve the function.  Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to drive and measure program success.
  • Receives, investigates, and responds to ADA related inquiries and concerns from staff.
  • The ability to interact with people at all levels and a range of backgrounds, cultures and perspectives.
  • Knowledge and attentiveness to issues relating to equity and diversity to build a work environment of inclusion and respect.
  • Will lead and/or participate in project teams as assigned.
