Description

The School of Anthropology and Conservation is seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly motivated Lecturer in Biodiversity Conservation, with a strong research profile in conservation-related natural sciences, to join the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE). Applications are particularly welcomed from individuals with a strong research focus on conservation-related natural sciences, with a profile that demonstrates their commitment to applied biodiversity and/or ecological research that influences policy and/or practice. We will consider applications from all relevant fields; however, we are particularly interested in candidates that have a research focus on aquatic systems (freshwater and/or marine), entomology, herpetology or ornithology. The successful individual will also bring a cutting-edge research agenda and publication profile to the REF strategy of the School and the University. We are looking to appoint a candidate who complements and enhances the core strengths of DICE and the School, and a demonstrable track-record in interdisciplinary research more generally.
