BirdLife International is looking for someone to lead and develop the science underpinning BirdLife’s work on ecosystem services, providing technical support for the BirdLife Partnership. The work on ecosystem services focuses on using ecosystem service assessments to improve conservation outcomes, primarily by applying the Toolkit for Ecosystem Service Site-based Assessments (TESSA). This person will support the implementation of ongoing BirdLife projects using TESSA and develop new initiatives that integrate ecosystem services and natural capital into BirdLife’s Programmes. Acting as the focal point for ecosystem services work across the BirdLife Secretariat, this role requires someone who can develop and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally, keep abreast of emerging best practice and scientific research and build the capacity of the Partnership in this work area.
